We like words to mean what they mean. In that sense, when we say “handmade in Berlin” we mean exactly “handmade in Berlin”. Each and every piece of our capsule collection has been imagined, designed, and created by us in a small workshop in the heart of Berlin. No mass production, no sweatshops, no exploitation. Just us, with our ideas, the fabrics we strive to source ethically, and our passion. Well, ok, we also like to put music on, while we work (currently Bossa Nova). And sometimes we just call it "work"... it could also becalled "being in the flow", "loving what we do", "spending time with friends ans family".

This is not our starting point, that part of many entrepreneurial stories where “we were so small!”. This is a conscious decision, and we intend to keep it that way.

Before being a brand, lesorelle are two sisters. We do differ from each other a lot, but we hold on to the same core values. One is an accomplished professional, the other is in academia. One sways among milongas, the other hops through swing socials. One a minimalist, the other a lover of trinkets. Through our different paths, we bring a different spin on lesorelle. At the same time…we both love to dress up. We both embrace femininity in our style. We both like vintage clothing but still look for something original. We both felt forgotten by contemporary fashion. We both like true quality vintage and  second-hand. And most of all we both believe that the biggest drive towards any endeavor should always be loving what you do.

Lesorelle is deeply routed in Berlin. As we came from afar, Berlin offered us opportunities, places and more than anything else people. Berliners... they are hard to grasp. Sometimes you get the feeling that no-one is actually "from Berlin". An yet around the corner you will find the same Pilz Bar that used to offer shelter to the East youth decades ago.

To celebrate our Wahlheimat - the "Choosen Homeland" we present some of our dearest Berliners. Home is where your friends are!
